Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Update

Following the government’s announcement all London schools will now be returning on 18th January 2021. School will be open from 5th January for children of critical workers, vulnerable children and those with an EHCP. Remote learning will be provided for children who remain at home for this period. Please contact the school if you have any questions.

Critical workers and vulnerable children who can access schools or educational settings

Whilst we understand this decision may bring some disruption, we feel it has been made in the best interests of children, staff and families.

Cases of Covid-19 across London and other parts of the country have risen exponentially and there is a huge strain on the NHS. Full school opening would only add to this.

If you are a critical worker, please follow the attached link to inform us if you require a full time school place from Tuesday 5th January. To ensure we can make provision in line with our risk assessment, you will need to let us know by 10am on Monday 4th January. Please fill out a separate form for each of your children.

Once we have an idea of the numbers of children, we will be able to share with you the details of the teaching groups that will be in place for the next two weeks. Unlike the first lock down there is an expectation if you are a critical worker or a parent of a vulnerable child and require your child to attend school, that they do so consistently. Children will receive a full curriculum entitlement both in school and remotely.

Further details of the structure of the virtual school day will be sent in a separate letter on Monday. We will be in school during Monday’s INSET day. Please do not hesitate to phone or email if you require any further information.
