Year 3 Visit To The Natural History Museum

This week, Year 3 had an amazing day visiting the Natural History Museum! The children were fascinated by the size of the dinosaurs, and enjoyed looking at and exploring the life sized models in the exhibition. We also took part in a workshop, where the children had opportunities to handle and investigate various rock samples.  Children were tasked with exploring whether the samples they had been given were only rocks, or whether they were in fact fossils, by looking at their patterns and textures. Finally, the children experienced life as a paleontologist by using specific techniques to uncover replica dinosaur skulls.
